I've been a bad blogger of late! So I am turning over a new leaf and will blog at least once a month, hopefully :) Anyway I have many crafts shows coming up to tell about!

Glenwood Arts Fair in Rogers Park. August 22 and 23 noon to 8pm. I did this fest last year and we loved it come out and see us its free!

Pilsen Farmers Market We will be at this market Sunday Aug. 30th, Sept. 20nd and 27th from 9am to 2pm. A great community market!

Renegade Craft Fair In Bucktown September 12th and 13th from 11am to 7pm. Again we did this show last year and it is an awesome show you have to come out for this show! There are so many awesome vendors!

19th Annaul An Arts & Crafts Adventure II located in Park Ridge in Hodges Park, very close to North Chicago. The event is September 19th from 9am to 5pm. A beautiful town and city the metra goes right through!

Ravenswood Art Walk October 3rd and 4th from 11am to 6pm. This will be an exciting event located on ravenswood from Lawerence to past Addison!

Handmade Market at the Empty Bottle on Nov. 14th and Dec. 12th from noon to 4:00pm. An oldie but a goodie.

Indie Wed Ravenswood Billboard Factory on Ravenswood on Jan 30th. First ever of its kind. Couples can come and order from local vendors or even buy from them at the show! you can buy tickets for the show at Renegade!

January Show

My first craft show was in December. I did fairly well selling mostly teacup candles and many candle tins. Then my second show was in January. I sold tons of candle tins and many tea lights. I am on the waiting list for February, and will definitely be in the March show. The craft show is located at the Empty Bottle in Chicago, the second Saturday of the winter months. My second show I got interviewed for a TV show named the Naked Hippo. That was so cool and I hope I see it.

I seem to have many more international buyers, which is so wonderful to know my candles are all over the World!

I am now a part of several Etsy groups:
Etsy Friends ( a wonderful group that encourages friendships and promotion through each other and not to mention Every month we have a shop that all proceeds go to a different charity)

Illinois Street Team ( A lower key group but again a great way to meet new people around my hometown!)

Trashion ( Is about visualizing beauty in unconventional objects and materials. What a great way to reuse, recycle, and make it a better place for everyone through art!)

I am really getting to be a workaholic. I work 80 hours plus a week on my at home business. It's crazy. When I am not working I am thinking about working and what I should be doing. Christmas break was really hard being away from my ability to make candles!

OK so Thanksgiving is over, and it is time to get creating and selling! I just tried soy wax, and I am not having much luck. The candles always have some kind of frosting. I have poured at 100, 125, 140, and 180 degrees. I don't know. I ordered some different soy wax today., hopefully it comes ASAP I have a show the 8th. AHHHHH. Well, I'm here in the blog world! I just wanted everyone to know I have set up an etsy site where I sell my handmade jewelry, teacup candles, and will be adding photography prints soon. I hope you enjoy my store and like what you see. I really love making with my hands and I am very proud of my work!

I am located in Chicago, there is a lot of stuff for sale here. However in finding beautiful vintage teacups with saucers can be hard! I use Paraffin wax which has an extraordinary scent throw. It seems everyone is starting to go towards soy wax these days. Soy wax does not have the best scent throw and looks not as nice in the finished product. I will be using Soy wax in the future for the fact that it is environmentally better. But for now check out my candles with Paraffin wax.

For anyone who buys my candles I will refill your candle for 4 dollars. You must pay both shipping and handling and clean your cup all the way. This way if you are truly in love with your teacup candle you can get a refill. If not you have a beautiful teacup forever!

Right now I have a passion for wire jewelry. I experimented a lot in college with wire in most all of my projects. I hope you see my love and devotion to this craft I have found to be very fulfilling.

My Husband loves photography and took many photography classes in college. Soon we will be getting his prints on sale. Be on the look out! My Husbands dream, Matt, is to have a darkroom of his own. This wont happen as long as we live in the city:(
